The public app currently offers a sample inbox and a separate email signup. Live Gmail connection is disabled until Google's permission review is complete. The Gmail practices below describe how the connection will work when enabled.
If you choose to connect Gmail, Google gives this browser tab a temporary access token. The browser calls Gmail directly to read up to 500 inbox messages' IDs, sender, subject, date, List-Unsubscribe header, and labels. These fields are used to show a preview based on your categories. The app does not request message bodies or attachments. The token, preview, and message data stay in browser memory and are cleared on reload; they are not stored by our server or Supabase, and are not sent to Jev.
Only after you review a plan and approve it does the app create Gmail labels and optionally remove the Inbox label from selected messages. Archived messages remain in All Mail. The app does not send or delete messages. Google's gmail.modify permission is broader than these actions; the app limits its use to the behavior described here. You can revoke access in your Google Account's third-party connections.
If you type an email address into the signup form and check its separate consent box, we store that address, the signup time, and the signup source in Supabase. Ilia Sorokin can access or export this list to send the Sort My Inbox launch announcement, an invitation to try it, and occasional updates about this product. We do not add your Gmail account address or any message sender to this list automatically. Gmail authorization does not sign you up. We do not sell the list or use it for unrelated products or advertising.
Vercel hosts the site and signup endpoint; Supabase stores opted-in signup records. These providers process data needed to deliver their services, including ordinary request metadata. We keep a signup record until you ask us to remove it or the email list closes. To opt out or request access or deletion, email cloud0beats@gmail.com. We will remove your address from the list and stop product emails.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. AI classification is not active. If introduced, sending any Gmail sender or subject to Jev will require a separate explicit choice. We will update this notice before changing how we use Gmail data or adding an email delivery provider.
