You choose categories and review a preview before any Gmail labels are changed. When you approve, Sort My Inbox may create labels and archive selected messages. Archiving removes a message from Inbox but leaves it in All Mail. Sort My Inbox does not delete or send mail.
Automated matches can be wrong. Check the proposed actions before applying them. You can disconnect at any time. Gmail may still show prior changes after you disconnect; you can reverse labels or move archived mail back to Inbox in Gmail.
